I'm delighted to begin working with you. We're going to fly through this course material pretty quickly, so I hope you've cleared your calendar for the three short weeks we'll be together. Please check the syllabus if you'd like to get a jump on the readings. A few other notes of interest:

Info on subscription to lynda.com
You will receive an invitation via e-mail to subscribe to online training courses from a site called lynda.com. Because we have limited in-class time to cover software, I want you to have a resource for more advanced work and questions. I removed a $75 text to offset the cost of this training library ($33). Also, it is available to you from the start of class through Aug. 31, so you can continue your learning. The available courses are:
- Dreamweaver
- Illustrator
- InDesign
- Photoshop
- Final Cut Pro (we're not doing video but I had a fifth course slot available and thought you might benefit)
Subscribing to the service is required for J411. You are welcome to use it whenever and however you like, but it will not be open to you until May 25.
